About AIRC Membership

The AIRC is a non-profit organization controlled by accredited United States post-secondary educational institutions in order to

  • Develop standards of ethical practice for educational institutions and student recruitment agents for the recruitment of international students to American colleges and universities.
  • Develop best practices and training to assist both overseas student recruitment agents and institutions themselves to better serve students seeking admission to American educational institutions.
  • Establish a certification process for participating agents and undertake other activities as are necessary to help members accomplish their goals.

Membership Categories

There are four types of membership:

  1. Institutional - for U.S. accredited post-secondary institutions, includes voting privileges.
  2. Agency - for recruiting agencies who have successfully achieved AIRC Certification, includes voting privileges.
  3. Pathway - for organizations providing or organizing credit bearing post-secondary academic pathway program for international students through contractual arrangements with accredited institutions; includes voting privileges.
  4. Affiliate - for related non-profit organizations and educational institutions that wish to be involved in the development and activities of the organization.
