Dr. Nancy L Zimpher, Chancellor of SUNY
Dr. Zimpher chairs a national network of presidents called the Coalition of Urban Serving Universities (USU), she is a past chair of the Board of Directors for the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), formerly known as NASULGC, the nation’s primary alliance of public universities. In November 2007, she represented urban universities at the launch of the Blueprint for American Prosperity at the Brookings Institution. In addition, she serves on the national board for the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE). A past president of a national education reform network, The Holmes Partnership, she has previously served on the Executive Board of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the AACTE, on the board of the American Council on Education (ACE), as chair of the APLU Commission on International Programs and as Project Director for a U.S. Department of Education Teacher Quality Grant. |

Dr. Nancy L Zimpher is Chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Prior to coming to SUNY, as President of the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Zimpher closely monitored that university’s move toward agency-based recruitment.
