There are many sources of information available to students interested in studying in the United States. Searching online is a good starting point. EducationUSA advising centers also offer a wide range of information about the US higher education system.

Many students, and their parents, find the supplemental assistance offered by an educational consultant or agent to be very helpful. Many of these consultants offer exceptional service and can help a student find the best possible academic and personal fit. Unfortunately, some consultants are less committed to best practices, and may even lack the basic knowledge to provide competent advising. Selecting an educational consultant should therefore be undertaken with the greatest of caution. It is very important to check references prior to working with any consultant.
